How to sell your items

If you don't NEED it, WANT it or USE it - CONSIGN it! You'll be surprised at how much you can make for the good quality items you no longer have a use for.  Extoggery is now accepting SUMMER items. Accessories such as purses, shoes and jewellery are also in high demand.   If you are unsure of what is being accepted, please call the store where you wish to consign and speak with the manager or consignor who will be happy to help and save you any inconvenience.

Extoggery does not accept any items that have company logos, or names of events or places.
Also, clothing and accessories should not be older than 2 years old.  Some exceptions do apply to classic pieces i.e. Channel jackets, LV purses, etc. but these items will be evaluated at the time of consignment.

When you open an account with Extoggery, please present photo I.D. Also, please provide a legitimate phone number. Extoggery will not contact you by phone unless there is an issue with your items. These steps are for your security and we hope you understand. Also,if you want anyone else to be able to pick up money owing to you, please note that payments will only be made to the person(s) on the account. Husbands, wives, children, mothers, fathers, good friends, etc. will not be given any payouts unless their name is on your account. If you already have an account and you want to add a name, you must come to the store where you consign to have the name put on your account.  For security reasons, we cannot do this by phone.


Clothes must be brought in on hangers to prevent wrinkles. Your hangers will be returned to you if requested. Naturally items like sweaters can be folded (unless they crease badly off a hanger). Please also make sure your items do not have missing buttons or broken zippers and are free from odours such as tobacco, mothballs or mildew.
Please check "Items now being accepted" to get a general idea of what types of labels Extoggery is (and is not) accepting. 

NOTE:  The consignor is unable to evaluate any clothing items that are not on hangers and have not been laundered or dry cleaned.

The other thing to consider is not cutting the tags off your designer items. It is impossible for us to market a designer item if we cannot prove it to the customers. Labels do command the most money and the quickest sale.

Your items are entered into your computerized account, and put out for sale for 60 days. 45% of the retail selling price on your items will be immediately credited to your account as they sell. We provide complete details of what you've brought, what items sold, and what money is owing to you. After any of your items have sold, you can pick up cash (for amounts under $100) or a cheque for all amounts over $100.! All money owing needs to be picked up within 90 days from start of consignment. After 90 days all information is removed from the system. At the end of the 60 day consignment period, all unsold, unclaimed items are automatically sent to charity.  If you wish to reclaim any unsold item, you must do so before the expiry date of your consignment.  All dates are provided at the time of consignment so there is no confusion.

Each Extoggery store has it's own market so you may want to call before coming in to make sure what you want to sell can be accepted.

Take Ins Open ~ 10am to 5:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. No consigning is done on Wednesday, Sunday or during evening hours.

Consignors will price any item you are concerned about.The guide line is 25% - 30% of the original selling price. However, this does fluctuate according to condition, style, and market demand.All the consignors are highly trained individuals.
